Trombones4Kids.org is a 'not-for-profit' organization that specializes solely in donating trombones to schools in underdeveloped communities and to underprivileged children. By continuing to spread the joy of music and providing kids with the opportunity to play the trombone, every child can be given the rewards of being more creative, have a higher self esteem, excel academically and secure a sense of accomplishment.
Ron Aldad, a trombonist since 2008, has decided to share his passion for the instrument by collecting and distributing trombones to those who either do not have the means of acquiring trombones and/or those who simply do not have access to them.
In the mid-19th Century, the trombone began to grow in popularity. Composers like Berlioz and Wagner used trombones to a greater degree than in the past, as they heavily relied on them for bigger volume and a greater range of emotions. By the end of the 19th century, the trombone found itself in the hands of early jazz musicians in New Orleans, USA. From then on, the trombone has become an iconic and unique instrument capable of adding to any music group and various styles of music ranging from classical music to improvisational jazz.
We believe that today's children are the future musicians of the world, and our goal is to give the pleasure of playing the magnificent trombone to as many of them as possible.
